A practical introduction to wool crafts. Have a go at processing our sheep’s fleeces sorting, carding, spinning and washing the wool. Have a go at using a peg loom, weaving frame and spinning wheel. Make a piece of felted or woven textile to take home. This session will include families visiting the farm and we will ask young people taking part to help out and support others to get involved and have a go at the activities. There will also be a chance to meet and help feed some of the farm animals with members of farm staff and volunteers.

Although this is a crafts session it is using raw sheep’s wool and may be dirty and wet. Please wear appropriate warm clothing.
